Our Story

The name says what we do before we've said a word.

Forest Visions comes from seeing potential where others see an ordinary piece of wood.

Every board, slab and tree has a story waiting to be revealed.

Our work starts long before a tool touches the wood. It starts with a walk around the slab rack, a hand on the grain, and a conversation about how you actually live with the piece you're asking for.

We source quality hardwoods — walnut, maple, oak, cherry, elm and locally salvaged Alberta timber — and choose material for character rather than uniformity. A knot, a curve or a stretch of figured grain isn't a defect here; it's usually the reason the piece works.

From there it's joinery, patience and hand-applied finishes. Nothing is mass-produced, nothing is duplicated, and nothing leaves the shop until it earns the word heirloom.

Craftsmanship

Traditional joinery and modern precision. The parts you never see are built as carefully as the ones you do.

Creativity

We're happiest on the projects nobody else has built yet — the ones that start as a sketch on a napkin.

Materials

Responsibly sourced hardwoods and salvaged Alberta timber, chosen slab by slab for the piece it will become.
